JS Transportation has, to date, focussed on the aviation business within Pakistan.

JS Transportation

Airline passenger traffic and, to a lesser extent, cargo traffic has grown significantly in recent years both within the Pakistani domestic and international travel markets.  This has made the aviation sector an interesting investment opportunity, despite escalating fuel costs.

JS Transportation’s current investments include:

Airblue

Airblue commenced operations in 2004 and currently operates a fleet of eight Airbus A-320, A-321, and Beechcraft 1900 C (wet lease) aircraft.  It is Pakistan's fastest-growing domestic airline, offering business and economy seating.  It operates 168 flights weekly, serving Karachi, Gwadar, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Faisalabad within Pakistan.  In 2005 and 2007, it commenced short-haul and long-haul international operations to Dubai and Manchester, and is finalising plans to operate additional long-haul routes.  Airblue recently placed a US$790 million order with Airbus to purchase 10 additional aircraft with deliveries commencing in 2008.

JS Air

JS Air is a regional air charter business established to serve relatively low passenger-volume routes for commercial airlines as well as providing executive charter services to the oil and gas industry and other leading businesses. JS Air is the first general aviation company to fly international routes offshore.
